Basketball
Yesterday my daughter Victoria who is in the seventh grade and attends Luna Middle School had a basketball game against Jones Middle School. My daughter is on the B team and she was playing against my co-workers daughter Brianna it was so nice to see them cheering each other off. The game was exciting to watch and my daughters team won but they showed very good sportsmanship. My co-worker Annmarie informed me today at work that her daughter was being teased by her team because she was cheering for my daughter when she went to shot a free throw.Even though my daughter did not make the basket I am very proud of her. It is so nice to see that they share the same interest and hobbies. The final score was 24 to 4 way to go LONGHORNS!!!!

I guess it is good that you like basketball, huh? I am not much of a basketball fan. I am a big fan of ice hockey. I am and always have been a bit odd, in that respect. I live in a state where everyone loves OU football. I am an odd person out there too, I like OSU. But it is mainly because the veterinary school is at OSU. And I live for the years (and it is not too often) that OSU beats OU. See you soon, or in the d/b.
ReplyDeleteI am proud of you for putting your girl into sports. I know womens sports has been and is on the rise but it is always good to hear about a girl thriving in sport.
ReplyDeleteI think sport is very important for children. They learn to work hard, they see their hard work reflected in their improvement, they learn to work in a team, they learn sportsmanship and respect for others, and probably most importantly they begin to learn to deal with loss.
Hi margie
ReplyDeleteThat is good that your daughter is into sports it is important to train those young minds, and good sportsmanship is a very important key.I enroled my daughter in an after school dance class. And I told her music teacher to teach her piano in school I donated A piano to the school so that other children could learn also. piano was not on the curriculum.
Hi Margie,
ReplyDeleteWOW your daughter is into sports huh? I was alittle "tom boy" myself when I was younger, so tell her I said GIRL POWER!!!
Hi Margie,
ReplyDeleteI think that it is awesome that they share the same likes and that she cheered her on like that. It is not right about the teasing, but they just don't understand. I don't think that it is right, but at least the girls get along and support each other.
